An important aspect of the Android experience is updating of installed apps. These updates provide new features to applications as well as bug fixes.

Procedure

1. Go to the app drawer on your phone and tap on the ‘Market’ application.
2. Once the application has loaded, hit the ‘menu key’ on your phone to reveal the options under this ‘Market’ application
3. Tap on ‘My Apps’ option. The ‘My Apps’ section of the ‘Market’ lists all the applications you have installed on your phone.
4. Applications that require an update will be indicated at the top.
5. You can either update the applications one by one by tapping on each application that you want to update or you can update all.
6. The updates download and are installed.

**Please note that updating applications can some times consume a lot of data. Ensure that you have enough data before this exercise. Or you could schedule updating of applications when connected to Wi-Fi.
