The last time we reported about a Nokia 6 deal was back in 2017 and at the time, the phone, which debuted at about Sh 25,000 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant, was selling on Safaricom’s Masoko at a discount of just Sh 2,000.
Today, especially now that the Nokia 6.1 is already selling in Kenya, the OG Nokia 6 has received another discount, but this time on Jumia Kenya, where you can grab one for as little as Sh 18,699. For this amount, you’ll be getting a device that rocks a 5.5-inch 1080p display screen, a Snapdragon 430 processor mated with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.
There’s a 16MP main camera and an 8MP shooter for selfies and for the battery, you get a decent 3000mAh unit that should be enough to see you through a full day on a single charge. Being a 2017 budget phone, you get a microUSB port for charging and data transfer, but there’s a fingerprint scanner for authentication purposes.
Software is the selling point of the Nokia 6, if you ask me. Although you get Android Nougat out of the box, an update to Android Oreo is ready for you once the phone is unboxed. Also, the phone will receive Android P when the stable version comes out later this year.
