The 2018 World Cup is almost here and every football lover is gearing up to watch Mo Salah keep doing what he does best in Russia. And Samsung has the perfect way to make sure you have an unforgettable experience right from the comfort of your living room.

Beginning May 1st, Samsung fans will stand a chance to win a brand new 40″ Samsung TV upon purchasing any Samsung Galaxy smartphone from the retailer’s outlets across the country. Christened “Score with Samsung”, the promo will run for six weeks, meaning you can grab one of these TVs just in time for the first meaningful kick-off (to us, Africans) between Egypt and Uruguay on June 15.

So, you must be asking, how do I get this for me? Well, it’s quite easy. After you purchase your Samsung Galaxy phone, it has to be entered into the promotion by registering it. To do this, simply send an SMS to 22585 using the format: Reg*IMEINumber#.

Don’t know where to find your phone’s IMEI number? Head to Settings > About phone > Status > IMEI Information. Alternatively,  dial *#06#. You are likely to see two IMEI numbers: use the first one. Samsung says it will conduct weekly draws to determine the winners of the free TVs,  so make sure you register as soon as you purchase your Galaxy phone. Also, it’s worth noting that we don’t have details regarding the exact type of TVs on offer.

While registering the phone will give you a chance to win a free 40″ Samsung TV, it also comes with one other benefit – a 2-year warranty. That’s like the longest warranty offered by any local smartphone vendor, which is pretty much a USP for Sammy.

There’s even better news for those who opt to buy any of the high-end Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ or Note 8, where the tech giant says a bundle offer has been lined up for purchases made between April 30th and May 26th. If, however, you happen to buy any of the Galaxy J7/J5 Pro, J7 Neo, Galaxy Grand Prime Pro or even the aging Galaxy Tab A 7.0 between April 27th and May 26th, you’ll also qualify for the said bundle offer.
