Apple is said to be gearing up to release an Apple TV app for the Android platform soon.
The company is said to be running internal tests of the said app.
If that comes to pass then Apple would have made it much easier for Android device users to access content on its Apple TV+ platform. As things stand, users have to use web browsers which are really not the best ways to consume content on such tiny screens as they lack the refinement that one would get in a dedicated application as well as additional features like saving movies and shows for later offline viewing.
Also, the web version of Apple TV doesn’t sync settings with the Apple TV app on other devices.
Apple TV+, Apple’s own “Netflix-style” streaming platform, remains inaccessible in Kenya.
Last year, Apple TV’s app landed on Android TV.
