Tecno Camon 11 now available through Safaricom

Tecno’s Camon 11 smartphone, which launched towards the end of 2018, can now be found at Safaricom’s retail stores countrywide.

At Safaricom shops, the device is going for Kshs 15,999, a thousand bob more than its launch retail price which is what is available for in other stores.

As is usually the case with devices available through Safaricom, the Tecno Camon 11 in question is a single-SIM variant.

Safaricom is bundling the device with 2GB free data, a far cry from the 25GB that buyers of the same device get to use on Jamii Telecommunications’ Faiba4G network thanks to Tecno’s partnership with JTL at launch.

The Tecno Camon is an affordable smartphone that, at its launch price, makes a big case for itself even though we found it lacking when it comes to its most advertised and hyped feature, the camera. The battery life is excellent as is the design. However, a lot of that is undone by the terrible software implementation that sees ads compete for a user’s attention as much as everything else on the device.
