Xiaomi is set to unveil the latest devices from its Redmi sub-brand in Kenya in a week’s time.
The Redmi Note 12 series, the latest update to Xiaomi’s mid-range smartphone series under its sub-brand, will officially launch in Kenya on May 2nd. The launch will be streamed live through the brand’s local social media pages (Facebook) from 6 pm.
The Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12S and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, which comprise the Redmi Note 12 series, are the devices set to go on sale in the country on the said date.
The major highlight of the Redmi Note 12 series is, of course, its cameras. With the devices sharing the secondary sensors, it’s in the hero sensors where the differentiation takes place. The standard Redmi Note 12 makes do with a 50-megapixel sensor while the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G gets the series cake with the 200-megapixel sensor. The Redmi 12S has a 108-megapixel sensor.
Others specifics of the devices are as we captured here when they were announced globally.
“As a build up to the launch, Xiaomi has kicked off the ‘King of Mid-Range’ campaign that celebrates ‘kings’ from all walks of life. Xiaomi recognizes that there are kings everywhere, people who excel in what they do, people who rise above the crowd, those who stand a cut above the rest. The campaign will culminate with the unveiling of the Redmi Note 12 Series, the King of the mid-range – with the best configuration, character and style, best innovative technology, affordable pricing – Redmi Note 12 Series reigns supreme,” says a statement from Xiaomi Kenya.
We have the Redmi Note 12 and we will be sharing our quick thoughts from the last few days that we have spent with it shortly.
