If you are an existing Safaricom Home Fibre customer on either the Bronze or Silver plans and want to get more bandwidth, you are in luck. For a limited time – until the end of March – you can upgrade to the higher Gold package and pay just 75% of the cost.

In an ad that Safaricom is running online, the company says that the deal applies to both existing Home Fibre subscribers on lower packages (i.e. Bronze and Silver) as well as new Home Fibre subscribers who go for the Gold package directly.

Following a revision of its home internet packages last year, Safaricom doubled the bandwidth on its Gold package to 80Mbps with the price remaining at the Kshs 6,299 it had been for a while. With the 25% discount, new and existing subscribers will pay Kshs 4,725 for the same package.

It is not clear at this time if Safaricom is offering discounts for other packages as well.
