The Galaxy S24 series flaunts a brand new One UI, and good news is on the way for older Galaxy phones too! We already knew the Galaxy S23, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5 would be among 100M Samsung devices expected to get One UI 6.1 in 2024, but now we have more details thanks to a Samsung community post.
Hold your horses, though! Apparently, the One UI 6.1 update won’t hit these phones before March. In fact, the Galaxy S23 series is scheduled to get one last One UI 6.0 security patch in mid-February before making the jump to One UI 6.1. With that in mind, Galaxy S22 and S21 owners will likely have to wait until later in March or maybe even April to receive the update to One UI 6.1.

Notably, some Galaxy phones like the Galaxy A52s 5G have already been spotted on Samsung’s servers running One UI 6.1 test firmware. But this doesn’t mean the update will roll out to these devices anytime soon. But we do know that devices such as the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4, the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy A54, and A34 are also expected to receive the One UI 6.1 update at some point, although it may be later than the first half of 2024.
Another thing worth keeping in mind is that Samsung community forum moderators don’t usually have the final say in such matters. So take this information with a grain of salt, especially the alleged One UI 6.1 release date and list of supported devices.
When the One UI 6.1 update begins rolling out, owners of Galaxy S23 and older Samsung devices will receive some of the new Galaxy S24 camera features alongside a bunch of other Galaxy AI features.
