Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 14 series in kenya

Pricing starts at Kshs 22,000

Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Note 14 series in Kenya.

At an event in the country’s capital, Nairobi, the Chinese device maker officially announced the local availability of the standard Redmi Note 14, the Redmi Note 14 Pro and the Note 14 Pro+ 5G.

Xiaomi Kenya has unveiled the highly anticipated Redmi Note 14 Series at an exclusive event at JW Marriott Hotel in Nairobi.

According to Xiaomi Kenya, the devices are “all designed to redefine smartphone photography, durability, and performance while maintaining exceptional value”.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro features several improvements over its predecessor, the Redmi Note 13 series. It even arrived earlier than the Redmi Note 13!

In keeping with the AI flow, as we have seen on other devices, the Redmi Note 14 series has features like AI Erase Pro, AI Image Expansion, and AI Background Removal to “allow for professional-level editing directly on the device”.

The devices are priced as follows:

  • Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G – Kshs 52,499 (8+256GB), Kshs 62,999 (12+512GB)
  • Redmi Note 14 Pro – Starting from Kshs 34,999
  • Redmi Note 14 – Kshs 21,999 (8+128GB), Kshs 25,999 (8+256GB)

Alongside the Redmi Note 14 series, Xiaomi has also announced tablets: the Redmi Pad SE 8.7-inch, Redmi Pad SE and Redmi Pad Pro 5G

The 8.7-inch Redmi Pad SE is priced at Kshs 14,999 for the 64GB variant and Kshs 16,999 for the 128GB variant. They both have 4GB RAM.

Pricing for the Redmi Pad SE is Kshs 19,499 for the 128GB version and Kshs 23,099 for the 256GB variant.

The Redmi Pad Pro is the headlining tablet of the series and is going for Kshs 39,999 for the 128GB variant with 6GB RAM and Kshs 45,999 for the 256GB variant with 8GB RAM.

In addition to the smartphones and tablets, the following accessories have also been introduced by Xiaomi to the local market as upgrades of existing ones:

  • Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active – from Kshs 2,999
  • Redmi Watch 5 Active – from Kshs 3,999
  • Redmi Watch 5 Lite – from Kshs 2,349
  • Redmi Buds 6 Series – from Kshs 1,899
  • Redmi Powerbank – From Kshs 1,499

Buyers of the above devices get 25 month warranty, 3 months of free 100GB Google One storage (within the first month of purchase) and a free screen replacement within the first 6 months of purchase.

There are also some select gifts with purchases of the phones. Buyers of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G get the Redmi Watch 5 Active and those of the Redmi Note 14 and Redmi Note 14 Pro get the Redmi Buds 6 Active.
