Residents of the Western Kenya town of Kitale are the latest to have various Safaricom services easily accessible through the mobile network operator’s expansive retail outlet network. This is after the Safaricom shop that has served them for almost a decade, was re-opened following a refurbishment exercise that had seen it remain closed.
“Located at Yes Plaza, the shop will offer residents of Kitale and the larger Trans Nzoia County access to all Safaricom services, including a wide range of 3G and 4G devices,” reads a statement from the company announcing the development.
Safaricom’s retail stores are usually the go-to places when those occasional Open Days take place where subscribers get access to various device discounts. For those with issues technical or otherwise on their devices or any other Safaricom products and services, this is where they are normally handled thereby making them important touch points for the telecommunications giant.
Safaricom has so far opened 46 such shops across the country.
