So, today is Mashujaa Day (Heroes’ day) in the country. While it’s rather unfortunate to some of us that the day falls on a Saturday and, as such, there won’t be a holiday spilling over into the coming week to allow us stay indoors and watch some more Elite, there’s something else worth smiling about.
Safaricom will refund all the airtime bought by its subscribers today, tomorrow.
How it works is pretty much simple. For whatever need you usually have as a Safaricom subscriber that necessitates you to use your airtime, voice, data and SMS, just spend it on this day and you’ll be reimbursed a similar amount the following day (Sunday, 21st October 2018).
Sounds good?
This is not the first time we are seeing Safaricom doing something like this. In previous years, on select public holidays or other occassions (mostly Sundays), the company has had instances where call and SMS rates are relaxed for an entire day.
Where’s the catch? Well, the reimbursed airtime has to be used up in 24 hours, the period it is valid.
Happy Mashujaa Day!
