Xiaomi made its official entry into the Kenyan smartphone market with the launch of the Redmi 6A back in August and since then, the device has sold out twice, with each occasion recording more than 5000 unit sales.

MI FANS, WE ARE GRATEFUL 👊
We never thought it would be this fast, but wow! #Redmi6A Second batch just sold out in 2 weeks. We are grateful for this amazing support!

This, of course, is a sign that the local market is responding positively to Xiaomi phones and as such, the company has plans to launch even more handsets in the market beginning November 1st.

We already knew about the imminent launch of the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 in the country, but we didn’t know about the exact date of availability. Xiaomi Kenya had already given us a hint of the device’s price when it arrives in Kenya, but we now have what is likely to be the final price and release date of the handset. Apparently, the Pocophone F1 will be priced at Sh 32,000 for the base model of 6GB RAM and 64GB storage while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage option will exchange hands at Sh 37,000.

The Pocophone F1 will be accompanied by at least two other phones – the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 and Redmi 6 Pro. These two will be available in the country on the same date as the Poco F1, but we still don’t have pricing info for the duo.

Just in case you didn’t know, the Redmi 6 Pro will be joining its siblings, the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A – devices that are already available for purchase locally. So far, we still don’t know when the recently launched Redmi Note 6 will arrive in Kenya, but the device, albeit the Pro variant, has already been unveiled in Asia.

Besides phones, Xiaomi also sells a wide variety of gadgets and apparently, one of these gadgets, the Mi Band 3, is also on its way to the country.

The company has been asking locals what they think would be the ideal price through its Twitter account, so you may want to check it out and chip in with your thoughts on what should be the Mi Band 3 price in Kenya.
