Tecno’s ‘Take Me Home’ promotion targets buyers of its Camon 12 series smartphones

Mobile phone brand Tecno is this holiday season rewarding buyers of its devices with redeemable bus ride coupons, airtime, motorbikes and, for the grand prize, a chance to walk away with a car, in the fourth edition of its annual holiday season giveaway.

The catch? One needs to purchase any of the Camon 12 series smartphones the brand has made available locally over the last few weeks.

According to a public statement from Tecno, buyers of the Camon 12 Air, Camon 12 and Camon 12 Pro between now and December 23rd get a Kshs 500 bus ticket coupon plus Kshs 250 airtime. In addition, they stand a chance to win a motorbike courtesy of the mobile phone brand.

Those that register their mobile numbers will be entered into a live lottery and stand to walk away with the grand prize, a car worth at least Kshs 1 million.

The first batch of such winners of the motorbikes, 5 of them, will be unveiled tomorrow, December 18th.

A further 10 winners are expected to be announced at the same occasion tomorrow in a live lottery broadcast from the brand’s Facebook page.

At least 30 winners of the motorbikes are expected to be announced by December 23rd.

The bus ticket coupon is provided in partnership with BuuPass, an online ticketing platform that allows travellers, like most of us will be as we head home for the holidays, to book and pay for their travels from the comfort of wherever they are.

This promotion is the latest attempt by Tecno to woo Kenyans to buy the camera-centred Camon 12 devices. Within the first 3 weeks of the devices’ availability in the local market, the company announced a swap deal targeting those with devices from past generations of the series.

The Tecno Camon 12 Pro, Camon 12 and Camon 12 Air are going for Kshs 19,499, Kshs 15,499 and Kshs 13,499 respectively in shops countrywide.
