Tecno Mobile has opened pre-orders for its latest smartphone, the Camon 15 series, in Kenya.
The budget smartphone series, unveiled last month is days away from its local launch.
In the run-up to that launch, those that pre-order it will get a free backpack, according to Tecno.
The pre-order process involves placing a Kshs 2,000 deposit for any device in the Tecno Camon 15 series at participating retail outlets countrywide.
After the device has been officially launched locally, the customer can then settle the difference i.e. the device’s marked price less Kshs 2,000. Even then, according to Tecno, there are still some more goodies – a Tuskys supermarket shopping voucher will be handed out to them upon completion of payment.
In India, where the Camon 15 series has been available since last month, Tecno offers the Tecno Camon 15 and the Tecno Camon 15 Pro.
In Kenya, when the Camon 15 series debuts, three devices will be made available: Tecno Camon 15 Air, Tecno Camon 15 and Tecno Camon 15 Premier.
The devices are said to feature improved night-time photo-taking capabilities thanks to Sony’s image sensor (the 64-megapixel and Tecno’s AI algorithms, handled by a dedicated microprocessor.
The pre-order period runs until April 3rd.
