As earlier indicated, Vivo, one of the world’s largest smartphone brands, is set to introduce the successor to last year’s V17 smartphone series soon.

On June 24th, according to a statement from the company, the Vivo V19 will be launched locally.

The brand, which has been selling its smartphones in Kenya for a year now, will be hoping that its first smartphone with a dual punch-hole camera in the local market will give it an edge against the competition.

With the V19, the company’s focus is on the cameras with the device matching up 32 and 8-megapixel lenses on the front and a 48-megapixel primary lens at the back accompanied by an 8-megapixel super-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel Bokeh lens.

The device’s other standout features include a fingerprint sensor under the device’s 6.4-inch AMOLED display as well as its proprietary Dual-Engine Fast Charging tech, which can also be found on the Vivo Y19, the company’s most recent device in the Kenyan market.
