It seems obvious that operating a fixed data subscription on the same principles as a basic mobile data subscription isn’t such a good idea.

Well, that feeling isn’t universal and internet service providers the world over are known to implement some form of fair usage policies to deter heavy users from crippling access to the service by other users. Kenya’s Safaricom is the latest ISP to do so with data caps going into effect on March 1st.

Do the actions have merit? Much has been said over the last few days since the news broke and, now, Chenze, Dickson and Kanali weigh in on the matter in the latest episode of the 24Bit podcast.
