As expected, Tecno’s latest budget smartphone series, the Spark 10, is now available for purchase in the country.
The Tecno Spark 10 series was announced globally just over a week ago and comprises the standard Spark 10, the Spark 10 Pro, a Spark 10C and a 5G variant, the Spark 10 5G.
The announcement and availability of the Tecno Spark 10 5G marks the first time that a 5G Tecno Spark series device exists.
This comes at a time when the country’s 5G user base is rising rapidly.
The Tecno Spark 10 Pro features a 6.8-inch Full HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset, 8GB RAM (a further 8GB available for virtual RAM extension where need arises), 256GB internal storage, a 50-megapixel “ultra clear” “AI” camera at the back that Tecno says features the same super night algorithm that we have seen on its other more premium devices, a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. Tecno is even throwing in NFC connectivity on the device.
The Tecno Spark 10C, on the other hand, packs a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 16-megapixel camera at the back, an 8-megapixel camera on the front, 8GB RAM (extendable virtually by a further 8GB), 128GB onboard storage and the same battery as the Spark 10 Pro.
The standard Tecno Spark 10 keeps every feature on the Spark 10C except the rear camera, where it borrows the one on the Spark 10 Pro.
All the devices in the Spark 10 series, except the Spark 10C, run on Android 13 with HiOS 12.6 layered on top.
The three Tecno Spark 10 series smartphones have side-mounted fingerprint scanners.
