While Samsung hasn’t officially unraveled the complete roster for the highly anticipated One UI 6.1 update, we already have an early list of devices expected to receive the update. The current list will grow much bigger, and a recent report suggests the Galaxy A52s 5G will be among the lucky winners.
A firmware carrying build number GXA5 has emerged online, fueling speculations that Samsung has commenced internal testing of One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy A52s 5G. This comes hot on the heels of the phone receiving the One UI 6.0-based January security patch, which carries build number FXA1.

Now, why is this One UI 6.1 upgrade worth getting excited about? Well, Samsung has promised to infuse its upcoming update with a generous dose of Galaxy AI magic aimed at propelling your phone closer to the cutting-edge capabilities of the flagship Galaxy S24 series. Granted, you can expect your A52s 5G handset to boast plenty of AI smarts and enhancements once the update arrives. At this moment, though, I can’t give you any specific dates.
It’s important to remember that Samsung hasn’t formally confirmed the Galaxy A52s 5G will get updated to One UI 6.1 just yet. However, considering the appearance of this firmware and Samsung’s commitment to delivering the update to 100 million Galaxy phones by mid-2024, the odds are looking pretty good.
We’ll keep an eye on related developments and let you know if and when your Samsung Galaxy device will be receiving the update to One UI 6.1.
