Google’s ‘Circle to Search’ is the math and physics teacher parents have been waiting for

Google just handed parents the ultimate “get out of homework free” card, and all it takes is a Samsung Galaxy S24, Google Pixel 8, or any other from the over 100 million compatible devices available today. At their recent I/O conference held last week, the tech giant unveiled a game-changing upgrade to their Circle to Search feature that debuted earlier this year, turning it into a personal AI tutor for mathematics and physics problems.

Millennials like yours truly will be quick to remember those evenings spent deciphering cryptic equations and rummaging through dusty textbooks. Well, the kids of today and tomorrow have just kissed those goodbye. Now, with a simple circle on their screen, students can have step-by-step solutions magically appear before their eyes. It’s like having a 24/7 tutor without the hourly fees or awkward silences.

While it might sound too good to be true, Google assures us it’s about fostering understanding, not just dishing out answers. But let’s be real, this is going to make those late-night cram sessions a whole lot less stressful for everyone involved.

For now, Circle to Search’s homework help is limited to word problems in math and physics, but Google has big plans to tackle even more complex problems with graphs and diagrams later this year.

So, parents, if you’re tired of being your child’s on-call homework helper, consider investing in a compatible device. It might just be the best gift you ever give yourself (and your child’s grades won’t suffer either). Just remember, this revolutionary tool isn’t available on every Android device yet, but Google is working hard to expand its reach. So, while today’s kids might have it easy, there’s hope that future generations of students will get a taste of this AI-powered homework magic too.

  • Google Pixel 8 Pro
  • Google Pixel 8
  • Google Pixel 7 Pro
