Safaricom opens preorders for Canyon’s 4G kids smartwatches

Price starts at Kshs 9,999 for the base model and goes up to Kshs 14,999 for the high-end model.

Kenyan parents, if you’ve ever wished for a little extra peace of mind when your kids are out and about, Safaricom’s Masoko has the answer. Enter Canyon’s new 4G Kids smartwatches — a tech gadget designed to keep your child connected, safe, and entertained, all wrapped in a colorful, fun design.

What’s the deal? Well, Canyon is bringing two awesome models to the Kenyan market, both equipped with 4G capabilities, and preorders are open now on Masoko.com. These smartwatches aren’t just about telling time. Think two-way phone calls, GPS tracking, and yes, even educational games. It’s basically like strapping a mini smartphone onto your kid’s wrist.   1. Canyon 4G kids smartwatch KW41
    The more affordable option is priced at Kshs 9,999 (with a Kshs 999 deposit for preorder). Your kid will be connected to you via phone calls on a fun and intuitive 4G device. It also has a child-friendly interface, seven educational games, and an SOS button for emergencies. The built-in music player and 0.3MP camera are cool little extras your kid will love to play with. It comes in bright colors like blue, yellow, and pink to match your child’s style. Here are the features:

This version lets your child make and receive video calls, track their location via the Canyon Life App, and offers extra durability with an IP67 waterproof rating — perfect for kids being, well, kids. The battery is beefier, there’s a 700mAh battery to keep it going all day, and preorder offers have fun add-ons like a wireless headset, Bluetooth speaker, or power bank, depending on which package you pick.
