Gmail on Android is getting Smart Reply feature

Smart Reply is a nifty feature that saves the time of those of us whose lives revolve around emails. It has been on desktop for a while through Inbox. What it does is suggest some quick responses to an email you receive in your Gmail inbox, leaving you free to do something else instead of spending a couple of minutes racking your brain for the appropriate response.

Now, it is coming to Gmail on mobile too.

Gmail Smart Reply

The feature has previously been implemented on mobile. On Google’s other mail app based off Gmail, Inbox. According to Google, ” The feature already drives 12 percent of replies in Inbox on mobile.”

“Smart Reply utilizes machine learning to give you better responses the more you use it.”

The feature was announced yesterday by Google CEO Sundar Pichai at Google I/O 2017.
