Infinix is set to launch a new smartphone soon. We have known that for a while now.

The device, the Infinix Zero 6, is set to be the brand’s first product launch in 2019.

An early year launch brings back the beat and rhythm that Infinix had gotten us used to previously with regards to the Zero series, its most high profile device range.

Last year, the company sidestepped the flagship Zero series in favour of multiple devices from its other product segments: Hot and Note.

Remember when we were upbeat about seeing the Zero 6 as early as mid-2018?

The device comes in two variants: the standard model and a pro mode, the Infinix Zero 6 Pro.

As captured in the headline, it is only the Pro variant that will be available for purchase in Kenya when it officially goes on sale in March. Before then, though, Infinix is giving Kenyans the chance to place advance orders for the device between today, February 25th, and Thursday, February 28th.

Pre-orders for the device are now open online through Jumia and Kilimall. The same can be done through a number of retail outlets.

At Kshs 32,000, the Infinix Zero 6 Pro is effectively the most expensive Infinix smartphone to ever be sold in the Kenyan market.

The high price tag, besides reflecting the device’s status in the Infinix lineup, is also a testament to the improvements and upgrades made since the last generation Infinix Zero devices, back in 2017.

According to Infinix, the Zero 6 Pro “has been designed for professional photography for the photo savvy.” This alludes to the device’s dual selfie-camera setup and a 20-megapixel main sensor at the back. The device also has Corning’s Gorilla Glass on both the front and the back.

Those who pre-order the Infinix Zero 6 Pro in Kenya stand a chance of winning another Zero 6 Pro. Additionally, they are guaranteed a free glass protector replacement within the first year of purchasing the device as well as a goody bag from Infinix when they go to collect the device they pre-ordered.

The Infinix Zero 6 Pro is available in two colours: Milan Black and Sapphire Cyan. Only the Sapphire Cyan colour model (pictured above) is being availed in the country.
