Infinix has officially stepped into the foldable smartphone arena, following the footsteps of its sister company, Tecno. The newly unveiled Infinix ZERO Flip has now landed in Kenya, promising a sleek design and impressive features for those ready to embrace the foldable revolution. And while its premium foldable sibling, Tecno’s Phantom V Flip 2, launched recently, Infinix’s take on the tech brings even more competition to the local foldable smartphone market.
The Infinix ZERO Flip is now up for grabs on XPark, the brand’s official online store, priced at Kshs 83,999, the same price as the Phantom V Flip 2. It’s the only place selling it for now, with other major retailers like Phone Place Kenya and Masoko yet to list the device.

Infiniz ZERO Flip specs and features
At first glance, the ZERO Flip stands out with its sand-like textured rear panel and premium hinge, which is engraved with micro-crystals for that added flair. The phone is available in Rock Black and Blossom Glow.
Here’s what the Infinix ZERO Flip packs under the hood:
- 6.9-inch Foldable AMOLED Display with 120Hz LTPO refresh rate and 1,400 nits peak brightness — perfect for those who love their screen real estate.
- 3.64-inch external AMOLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, also featuring 120Hz refresh rate and 1,100 nits brightness.
- MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC, ensuring smooth performance, paired with 8GB physical RAM plus 8GB Extended RAM and a whopping 512GB ROM.
- Triple 50MP cameras for high-quality photography and 4K video recording, including seamless integration with GoPro cameras — ideal for selfie addicts and vloggers.
- 70W Super Charge to juice up the 4,720mAh battery quickly, plus 10W reverse charging if you need to share the love.
One of the downsides is Infinix’s promise of upgrades up to Android 16 with three years of security updates, making it one of the worst-supported phones at this price range alongside the Phantom V Flip 2.
So, what’s the big deal with foldables? It’s not just about looking cool in public (though that’s a plus). The Infinix ZERO Flip lets you split tasks between its main and cover screens, so you can quickly check notifications or run mini apps without fully opening the phone. With a zero-gap hinge and minimal screen crease, Infinix has also tackled some of the common foldable phone pain points, promising a better long-term experience.
As Infinix throws its hat into the foldable ring, the question is, will it sway users away from more established names in the game? With Tecno’s Phantom V Flip 2 already on the market alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 which is currently going for Kshs 122,000 but can be purchased on loan, this local foldable rivalry is only getting more interesting.
