HMD Global is seeding Android 9 Pie to yet another device. This time round, it is the turn of the Nokia 3.1.
Users of the 10-month old device can now expect to interact with new features introduced in the Android operating system with version 9 like App Actions, Adaptive Brightness, Adaptive Battery, App Actions among others.
Nokia 3.1 has been available in Kenya since mid-2018.
The device’s successor, the Nokia 3.1 Plus, received the Pie update recently.
It is not clear at this time if the update is also rolling out to users in the country or if they will have to wait for a few more days, as has been the case previously.
With this update, only the first generation Nokia 3 remains among devices in the “3” lineup without Android Pie. As per the update roadmap released back in January, that device won’t be seeing Android Pie until after this month.
