Owners of the Samsung Galaxy A6+ know that the arrival of Android 9 Pie update is imminent, at least going by the info Samsung published a while back, but before then, the Korean company has something equally better for you.
Major Android OS updates bring lots of features and changes to the overall user interface, which is the reason many people usually get excited about their arrival to a point that they tend to forget how importanter regular security updates are. The latter update is now rolling out to the Galaxy A6+ in the country as version A605FJXS3ASB2 and tags along the latest February 2019 security patches.
Of course, the A6+ is not among the Samsung devices that receive monthly security patches, which is why when one comes through like it is doing right now, it should get you a little excited.
The update weighs 99.5MB, which is typical for an update that bundles security patches and system-wide optimizations from several months ago. Yes, the last time the A6+ got a software update in Kenya was back in 2018 (October security patch), so yeah, better grab this one ASAP.
Note that the rollout is staggered, meaning some users may receive the go-ahead to download the update before others do, so don’t freak out in case it hasn’t arrived by now. It’ll be there pretty soon.
Thanks for the tip, Matubia!
