Huawei’s annual developer conference kicks off on August 9, 2019. On this day, Huawei will release EMUI 10, the next iteration of its custom skin that runs atop stock Android.
Although not much is known about what EMUI 10 will bring over the current EMUI 9.1, we can assure you that Android Q will be the base OS. Yes, Huawei is making plans to release EMUI 10 even before Android Q leaves the beta channel and it’s just super impressive.
The developer conference is meant to show the software world what Huawei has in store, which makes sense that EMUI 10 is part of it. We’ve seen the addition of cool technologies like GPU Turbo and Ark compiler into EMUI over time, so we expect similar stuff next month alongside upgrades to the existing features.
There are also claims Huawei has drastically improved multitasking on EMUI 10 as well as tweaks to the UI and icons. But we’ll have to wait until August 9 to verify these claims.
