The Oppo Find X arrived in the country in August 2018, about the same time Google released Android 9 Pie to its Pixel phones.

Considering the hype the Find X arrived with thanks to its futuristic sliding design that completely hides the cameras within the body when not in use, none of those paying the Kshs 100,000 RRP expected to be on the waiting end of the Pie update a year later. But here we are.

On the brighter side, the Chinese company has kicked off beta testing ColorOS 6.0 for the Oppo Find X. With this software, the device will finally make the switch to Android 9 Pie, which is just in time for the update to Android Q.

Whether the intake is region based is quite unclear, but if you own the Find X and would like to try ColorOS 6.0 beta, head to Settings > Software Update > Upgrade Early Adoption (upper right corner icon), but not on a device that is your daily driver.

For more on what ColorOS 6.0 brings, check out this link.
