Tecno Mobile launched the Phantom 9 earlier this month, but the phone isn’t available for purchase in the country yet. Worse is that the Kenyan branch of the company hasn’t revealed any specific date, but at least we now know the phone will be here next week.
Given the teasers Tecno Mobile Kenya has been toying around with on social media, many questions about its availability in Kenya have been raised. Fans salivating at the Tecno Phantom 9 want to know when the phone will finally be available for purchase locally, which prompted a response from their Twitter account.
Next week dada.

The Tecno Phantom 9 is a great device, no doubt. It packs some of the latest features that include an under-display fingerprint scanner and tri-lens camera on the back. However, avid smartphone users will know that it falls short of the competition in other areas, primarily battery capacity and the processor.
It’s only the right pricing that will save the Phantom 9 in a market that has the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, Huawei Y9 Prime 2019, Huawei Y9 2019, Huawei P30 Lite, and so on.
Looking at the pattern Tecno is using to release Phantom devices, it seems even the company itself is losing faith in the product.
