EMUI, the custom overlay available on Huawei’s smartphones (and on Honor devices as a variation called Magic UI), has registered its latest milestone. According to the Chinese device maker, EMUI 10, the latest version, is running on over 100 million devices.
The news comes 2 months since EMUI clocked yet another major milestone: 50 million users.
A month earlier, Huawei had announced another milestone: 10 million users. The month before that, it had registered its first 1 million users after it started rolling out to users of Huawei’s flagship P30 and P30 Pro smartphones 2 months earlier.
The increase is attributed to Huawei’s ongoing efforts to roll it out to many more devices around the world. Huawei has also, since the year began, been launching new devices that arrive with EMUI 10 right out of the box.
EMUI 10 brings with it several improvements to EMUI besides being the vehicle through which all users of Huawei devices can access Android 10 and the features that come with it.
Huawei is expected to officially announce EMUI 10’s successor, EMUI 10.1, on Thursday, March 26th at an event broadcast online where it will be revealing its 2020 flagship smartphone series, the P40.
