EMUI 10 is the software that Huawei and its sub-brand Honor are rolling out to users of their respective devices.
The software combines several value additions to features unique to Huawei and Honor devices released in past versions with the new features that Google has brought to Android with the latest version, Android 10.
As such, it has been the gateway to receiving an upgrade to the latest version of Android for devices from both Huawei and Honor.
Given that Huawei has been on a rapid-fire release schedule since it kickstarted the Android 10 beta programme for its 2019 flagship smartphones back in September, it did not take long before at least 1 million devices had already made the jump to EMUI 10 and Android 10.
Now, Huawei Central is reporting that that number has even gone further.
In a record 4 weeks, 9 million Huawei and Honor devices have received their EMUI 10 upgrade – either stable or beta releases – bringing the total count to 10 million just before the year 2019 comes to a close.
After updating several of its premium devices, Huawei has over the last few weeks concentrated on bringing EMUI 10 to some of its popular budget devices which may explain the surge in numbers in recent days.
