Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite receiving Android 10 upgrade but don’t update, yet

Xiaomi’s Mi A2 Lite smartphone is finally getting its long-awaited Android 10 update.

The update is arriving 2 months since the Mi A2 Lite’s sibling, the Mi A2, received its upgrade to the latest version of Android (yes, we know about version 11).

However, as is increasingly becoming the case with software updates to Xiaomi’s Android One smartphones in its A-series, it is wise not to update to V11.0.2.0.QDLMIXM.

While reports filtering are that some users have had successful upgrades to Android 10, a good number, as they are sharing on forums such as Reddit and Xiaomi’s own Mi forums, have run into some issues. The most common one is the devices not being able to turn off after upgrading to Android 10. Others haven’t been so lucky and their Mi A2 Lites have ended up being bricked.

So, while we understand that it’s been a long wait to get here, you may want to hold off any excitement for now and wait for Xiaomi to release a fix.

Just last week, Xiaomi was forced to halt the release of the Android 10 update for the Mi A2’s successor, the Mi A3, due to bugs that had similar consequences on users that had managed to upgrade.
