Last week, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), the transport industry regulator in the country, invited qualified companies to bid to roll out a new digital fare system. According to the NTSA, the new system will be mandatory for all Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) in the country.
After past efforts that failed to gain traction, including those by big players like Google, Equity Bank, Safaricom, the government itself and other players, will this work this time around?
