Huawei nova 9 SE officially launched in Kenya, going for Kshs 40,000

Huawei Mobile Kenya has finally officially announced the launch and availability of the nova 9 SE smartphone in the local market.

The device had been up for pre-order over the last few days.

The Huawei nova 9 SE features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display, a Snapdragon 680 chipset, 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and a 4,000mAh battery.

It has a 108-megapixel quad-camera system at the back (arrange in a Star Orbit ring module) that comprises the primary 108-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and another 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front is a 16-megapixel sensor for taking selfies.

A headlining feature of the device is its 66W Huawei SuperCharge fast-charging technology which sees the device take up just a quarter of an hour to charge up to the 60% mark from nothing and just 36 minutes to go from 0 to 100%.

Software-wise, users will interact with EMUI 12, Huawei’s own custom take on Android (11).

“The Huawei nova 9 family is tailored for younger consumers, offering quality, well-designed smartphones that are equipped with flagship features but at a competitive price,” says the company in a statement.

The Huawei nova 9 SE is going for Kshs 40,000 and is available for purchase online via Huawei’s own e-commerce store, Amaya, as well as other online and physical retail outlets across the country, including Huawei’s own Customer Experience outlets.
