Xiaomi has made good on its word and officially unveiled the Redmi A1+ in Kenya.
The entry-level smartphone is being made available in the local market just days after its global release, making Kenya one of the device’s launch markets.
As we had previously reported, the Redmi A1+ packs a 6.5-inch HD+ display, 2 or 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage, an 8-megapixel main camera sensor that is part of a dual setup (the other being a 0.3-megapixel snapper), a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 5,000mAh battery. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset and runs on MIUI 12 with Android 12 underneath.
We are getting the 2GB RAM model in the country.
The Redmi A1+, which comes in black and light blue, is available for purchase in Xiaomi brand stores, e-commerce platform Jumia and other partner stores across the country.
It is going for Kshs 10,500.
