After a lengthy pre-pre-order period, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is finally available for purchase in Kenya and around the world.
Announced last month, the Galaxy S23 series comprises the standard Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23+ and the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
According to Samsung, globally, more people (60% of the customers) opted for the Galaxy S23 Ultra during the pre-order phase.
Samsung offered a number of incentives in the form of goodies and value add-ons to customers during the pre-order period that included a discount that saw buyers of the Galaxy S23+ bumped up to the Galaxy S23 Ultra at no added cost (i.e. the Galaxy S23 Ultra was offered to pre-order buyers at the price of the Galaxy S23+).
Samsung describes the just-ended pre-order period registered “even higher (results) than those of the Galaxy S22 series” even though the company doesn’t give us any figures either for Kenya or globally to back up the claim.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra is the best device of the lineup, packing more (advanced) features and specifications than its two siblings. It also has support for the S Pen, the name Samsung uses for its stylus.
Here is a quick look at the specifications of the three smartphones in the Galaxy S23 series and how they compare to one another.
The three devices are powered by One UI 5.1, the latest iteration of Samsung’s custom take on Android that is currently rolling out to other Galaxy devices as well.
