Xiaomi is officially rolling out its highly anticipated HyperOS to eligible devices, a significant overhaul of its custom user interface based on Android 14. While the full rollout is still ongoing, early adopters on select Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices can now experience the new and improved operating system.
As usual with any new major OS, HyperOS brings a host of new features and improvements aiming to elevate the performance and functionality of several Xiaomi devices.
The initial wave of HyperOS recipients includes the Xiaomi 13T Pro (Global), Xiaomi Pad 6 (Europe), Xiaomi 12T (Taiwan), Redmi 12 (Global), Redmi Note 12 (India), Redmi Note 12S (Taiwan), Redmi Note 12 NFC (Indonesia), POCO X6 Pro 5G (Global), POCO F5 Pro (Europe), POCO F5 (Indonesia), and POCO M5 (Global). Xiaomi says users on other compatible devices will receive the update soon, although there are no specific dates to share.
The arrival of HyperOS marks a significant shift for Xiaomi, aiming to provide a cleaner and more consistent user experience across its diverse device portfolio. Early reviews have been positive, highlighting improved performance and a more intuitive interface, but I’ve yet to interact with the new OS so I’ll save my thoughts for later.
With the initial rollout underway, HyperOS is poised to become Xiaomi’s flagship operating system moving forward. As more devices receive the update in the coming weeks and perhaps months, users can expect to experience the next chapter in Xiaomi’s software story. Below is a detailed overview of Xiaomi devices that have fully or partially received the HyperOS update and the respective regions, as shared by Xiaomi on the official community forum.

It’s worth noting that Kenyan and African users of Xiaomi phones should watch out for the global (MI) version of their respective device’s firmware. Of course, unless you shipped the phone directly from India, Europe or China and the stock ROM remains untouched.
Stay tuned for further updates on Xiaomi HyperOS update rollout and its continued development!
