Tecno has debuted the Pova 6 Pro at MWC 2024, a mid-range smartphone packed with a massive battery and dazzling light effects on the back. Launching this month in India, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia, this eye-catching device is set to make a splash owing to its aesthetics.

Under the hood, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 6080 processor, supports 5G connectivity, and features Android 14 with Tecno’s HiOS customization on top. It boasts an impressive 12GB of RAM (with an additional 12GB virtual boost), a sharp 108MP main camera, and a 32MP selfie shooter for capturing all your best moments. The 6.78-inch AMOLED display promises smooth visuals with its 120Hz refresh rate and ultra-fast 2160Hz PWM rate. Slim bezels and an in-display fingerprint sensor add to its sleek design. However, it’s the phone’s massive battery and customizable lights that will perhaps steal the show when it becomes available.

The standout features of the Pova 6 Pro are its enormous 6,000mAh battery and dazzling backlighting. With 70W wired charging support and the promise of long-term battery health, you’ll have power for days. But the real fun lies in the customizable LED lights integrated into the phone’s design. You can pick from a sleek black/gray or a vibrant green colorway and make it your own with dynamic light effects. You’ll also be able to set your Pova 6 Pro to pulse with incoming calls, game notifications, and more! If anything, this is Tecno’s answer to the Nothing Phone, whose rear panel has similar attributes.

The Tecno Pova 6 Pro is a playful and powerful device that promises to shake up the mid-range smartphone scene with its unique blend of performance and personality. It will first be launched in India, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia by the end of this month before heading to what Tecno refers to as “key regions” in Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America over the coming months. Surprisingly, there’s no mention of availability of the Pova 6 Pro in Africa, which is Tecno’s biggest smartphone market.

Besides the Pova 6 Pro, Tecno has also showcased the Phantom Ultimate rollable concept at the MWC 2024, and we have the details, including a hands-on video, in this article.
