The developers behind the app took to their Telegram channel, which has a following of over 200,000 Xiaomi fans, to express their frustration. Their message reads: “Our app has been deleted from the Play Store again. For completely unrelated reasons. Developing apps for Android is stupid.” No further explanation has been provided, leaving users puzzled.
The sudden removal raises questions about Xiaomi’s stance on third-party apps designed to enhance their devices’ user experience. MIUI Downloader & HyperOS Updater provided a convenient way for Xiaomi users to stay on top of the latest software updates, often even before official over-the-air (OTA) rollouts reached their phones.
