Tecno Mobile has officially opened pre-orders for its latest Camon 30 series smartphones in Kenya. Unveiled at MWC 2024 in Barcelona, the lineup consists of the Camon 30, Camon 30 5G, and Camon 30 Pro. There’s no word on if and when the mightier flagship, Camon 30 Premier, will come to Kenya.
Kenyans can now secure their preferred model by placing a deposit as follows, but be warned that the pre-order period runs from today, April 4th, until April 16th, 2024:
- Camon 30 (8/256GB): Kshs 5,000
- Camon 30 5G (12/256GB): Kshs 8,000
- Camon 30 Pro (12/512GB): Kshs 10,000
Each model boasts an impressive set of specifications, and below is a quick overview of what you are getting with each device in the Camon 30 series:
- Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G: Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset, 50MP main camera (OIS), 50MP ultra-wide, 2 MP depth sensor, 50MP selfie camera (autofocus), 6.78-inch 144Hz full HD AMOLED display, 5,000mAh battery (70W fast charging), under-display fingerprint scanner.
- Tecno Camon 30 5G: Dimensity 7020 chipset, 6.78-inch 120Hz full HD AMOLED display, 50MP main camera (OIS), 2MP depth sensor, 50MP selfie camera (autofocus), 5,000mAh battery (70W fast charging), under-display fingerprint scanner.
- Tecno Camon 30: Helio G99 Ultimate chipset (4G only), 6.78-inch 120Hz full HD AMOLED display, 50MP main camera (OIS), 2MP depth sensor, 50MP selfie camera (autofocus), 5,000mAh battery (70W fast charging), under-display fingerprint scanner.
All three models feature stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and IR remote control functionality, and they all come pre-installed with the latest HiOS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box.
Tecno has yet to reveal official Kenyan pricing for the Camon 30 series. But this information should be available at the end of the pre-order period. As an added incentive, those who pre-order will receive a gift hamper worth Kshs 10,000 when they collect their devices.
