Samsung is reportedly shaking things up by bringing its fancy new Galaxy AI smarts to some of its mid-range superstars. That’s right, the Galaxy A35 and A55 are about to get a whole lot smarter.
We’ve heard the whispers, and it looks like Galaxy AI, the same tech that’s been wowing folks on the high-end Galaxy S series, is heading to the mid-range. While we can’t promise a full-blown AI takeover, it’s clear Samsung wants to share the love. Expect to see this upgrade land sometime in the next couple of months, likely tucked away in the One UI 6.1.1 update, with perhaps even more AI features to come with the One UI 7.0 upgrade.
But don’t get too excited just yet. According to SamMobile, this isn’t a complete copy-paste of the Galaxy S series’ AI features. Samsung’s playing it smart here, carefully selecting which AI tools can handle the mid-range hardware. We’re guessing they’re holding back on the intense stuff that needs a superpowered brain.
Currently, the most budget-friendly Galaxy AI-enabled phone is the Galaxy S23 FE. Even this model doesn’t have the Instant Slow-Mo feature which debuted with the Galaxy S24 series. So, it’s a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to which AI goodies will be available on the mid-range models.
It’s a bit of a bummer that older Galaxy A phones are getting the cold shoulder, even if they share some similarities under the hood. Looks like Samsung is focusing its AI magic on the newer (2024) models for now.
This move is a big deal. Samsung is aiming to bring Galaxy AI to over 100 million devices, and expanding it to the popular A series is a major step in that direction. So, while we wait for more details, let’s keep our fingers crossed for some seriously cool AI features coming to the Galaxy A35 and A55.
If you’ve got a Galaxy A35 or A55, get excited. And for everyone else, keep an eye on those future updates –you never know what AI surprises Samsung might roll out next.
