After dropping a trail of hints for days, Xiaomi has finally pulled the wraps off the Redmi A5 in Kenya. Priced at Kshs 9,499 for the base model and Kshs 11,099 for the high-end model, the new budget champ is officially available for purchase starting today — and just like its predecessors in the Redmi Ax lineup, this one’s built to deliver more bang for your buck.

If you’re familiar with the Redmi A3 series, think of the A5 as its cooler, smarter cousin. While it’s still rocking a wallet-friendly price, the A5 comes with several noteworthy upgrades across the board — from display and design to performance and battery life. And yep, it’s running the latest Android 15 (Go Edition) out of the box, so you’re also getting Google’s freshest Android experience optimized for budget devices.
