Nearly 2 weeks since Infinix started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to the Infinix Note 3 and the Infinix Zero 4, it is now the turn of Infinix’s latest smartphone, the Infinix S2 Pro, to get some Nougat treat.
The update is a whopping 1.8GB.
Besides updating the device to Android Nougat, it also brings with it several fixes and improvements. These include updates to the music, Phone Manager, XClub and XShare apps. The lock screen Magazine interface is also getting a facelift. It is now possible to switch lock screen wallpapers by sliding one’s finger from left to right or vice versa when the Magazine lock screen is enabled. This feature is one of those that became available on the Note 3 it received the Nougat update as well.
Split screen multi-tasking on the 5.2-inch device will also be possible after updating to Android 7.0 since it is one of the Android version’s hero features.
Other additions are as can be seen in the screen grabs below:
The Infinix S2 Pro has been on sale in Kenya since April 10th through online retailer Jumia for Kshs 15,699.
A full review of the device is in the works so look out for it soon.
