After all the craze that came with Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping, one would think that retailers are done with these offers. Wrong! They are, in fact, just getting started.

With the Christmas and New Year celebrations right ahead of us, retailers are now coming in with offers targeting holiday spenders and Telkom Kenya is not staying behind. As at the time of this writing, the renowned telco is running a limited buy-one-get-one (BOGO) offer that will see buyers get a chance to walk away with a free smartphone.

As per the name of the offer, potential buyers will have to buy a smartphone from the carrier and after that, they get another unit of the same phone completely for free. This is a rare offer here in Kenya, but it’s happening. So, if you have a loved one you would wish to gift a new phone, well, Telkom Shops are what you need to be looking at, but there are some conditions that need to be met.

First, you need to keep a close eye on the telco’s official Twitter and Facebook pages because this is where the giveaway will be running on alternate days. For instance, if the promo is running on Twitter, you won’t find it on Facebook and vice versa. On either platform, the promo will include a few details of the mystery phone that you are to identify. Once you identify it, go to the official Telkom website and take a screenshot of this phone. After that, go back to the platform that is currently running the promo, be it Twitter or Facebook, and post a comment to the same post using the captured screenshot accompanied by the hashtag #WhatsInYourPresent.

Winners will be chosen randomly, but do keep in mind that you still have to purchase the identified phone in order to get a second one for free. There’s no competing again once you win yourself one free phone, even if you don’t buy it. Also, you must redeem the free smartphone by December 20, 2017.

The promo will be running until December 16, 2017, so make sure you grab it while it lasts! According to Telkom Kenya, up to 10 smartphones are up for grabs, but for now, we don’t know which ones will be included in the promo.
