One of Nokia’s latest smartphones in the local market, the Nokia 3.1, is receiving an update to Android 8.1, Oreo.
The device, which was announced back in May, went on sale 3 months ago in the country while running the dated Android 8.0. The same had been the case in other markets like India where the Nokia 3.1 received the 8.1 update a week ago.
The update, v2.56B, brings with it an updated power menu (something that we also saw happen to the Mi A1 in July) that is more in line with what we can expect to see when Android 9 Pie comes around, a new setting menu as well as something that I have come to love now that I rely on Bluetooth headsets for my “head bopping” sessions: Bluetooth battery percentage.
Also included with the update is the September security patch from Google.
The update is a whopping 1.1GB.
