It’s a new month. In the Android world, that means a round of fixes from Google, at least for the few privileged to get them.
For users of one of the most notable budget smartphones from last year, and, until recently, one of the best Android One smartphones this year, that may be on the cards. We don’t know for sure.
What we do know for sure, though, is that Xiaomi Mi A1 users in the country are receiving last month’s security patches through an update that has been rolling out over the last two days, a week after it reported after initial sighting in other parts of the world.
There are no extra features accompanying the security patches other than bug fixes and performance optimizations and, as such, the update clocks in at just under 400 megabytes.
