Samsung Galaxy S8+ might have been succeeded twice already, but if you are the kind of smartphone buyer who doesn’t get carried away by the hype of new products, you might just land yourself one of the best deals right now.

At Kshs 40,000, the Galaxy S8+ is undoubtedly one of the best smartphones you can buy right now. Yes, it’s now two years old, but being the flagship device it is, the S8+ still packs in some punch by today’s standards.

You are getting a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display screen with a QHD+ resolution, a powerful Exynos 8895 processor that’s allied to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. There is no dual or tri-lens camera, but the single 12MP unit on the back has proven time and again to be a great photography companion. The front has an 8MP lens for selfies.

Keeping the Galaxy S8+ alive is a 3500mAh battery unit that’s charged via a USB-C port. The 3.5mm audio jack is also present, but you’ll have to settle for the tried and tested rear-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of the futuristic in-display sensors we see on the S10 and S10+.

Being a 2017 device, the S8+ comes preinstalled with Android Nougat, but as of this writing, the device already got updated to the latest stable Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s One UI on top. Unfortunately, this is the last major OS upgrade for this device.

Something worth noting before you place your order is that the S8+ on sale is a single-SIM model, so take note of this if you have more than one SIM card that you intend to use simultaneously.
