Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has recently entered the Kenyan market with the hope of grabbing a share of the highly competitive playing ground.
Vivo has been at the heart of revolutionizing the smartphone industry with a myriad of firsts. These include debuting the first under-display fingerprint scanner and more recently, the first 120W fast battery charging technology said to fill a 4000mAh battery in just 13 minutes.

The company was also the first to give the world a smartphone with a 24MP selfie camera and the thinnest smartphone ever (at the time), measuring 5.75mm (later iterated to just 4.75mm thin the following year).
To continue this amazing streak of firsts, the world’s fifth-largest smartphone vendor is now said to be preparing a phone with ‘over 100%’ screen-to-body ratio.
The vivo NEX 3 is probably the highest screen-to-body ratio phone in 2019. The Screen-to-body Ratio is over 100% based on the “display area/projected area” calculation method. pic.twitter.com/B0cZ2XgzE7

The guy behind the leak, Ice Universe, has a decent track record, but even so, don’t get too excited about it yet. The phone in question is the Vivo NEX 3 and from the leaked images, it seems the screen will extend to wrap around the body of the device. This implies that the display will go beyond the usual flat surface or edges as in the case of Samsung flagships.
The leaker further seems to suggest that the curving display won’t complete the cycle, instead, it will stop at the point where it’s perpendicular to the surface. Given that the Vivo NEX 3 won’t have any notch or hole punch coupled by the minimal bezels, it’s possible that it could achieve the said ‘over 100%’ screen-to-body ratio by marketing standards.
It has no Hole, no Notch, is a complete screen, and the forehead and chin are also top level.

We don’t know when the Vivo NEX 3 will be unveiled, bug given the NEX A, NEX S came about in June 2018, and that the NEX Dual Display wasn’t here to succeed them, their true successor, supposedly the NEX 3, is long overdue.
