Huawei Kenya recently discounted several smartphones in the Y series and among them was the Huawei Y6 Prime 2019.

But for some reason, this discount did not immediately apply to Safaricom shops countrywide where the Y6 Prime 2019 sells in a single-SIM variant. But as of this writing, those who wish to purchase this device in Safaricom shops can also enjoy a discounted price of Kshs 12,299, saving yourself a cool Kshs 2,200 for this coming weekend.

You can now buy Huawei Y6 for Kshs 12,299 down from Kshs 14,499 at any of @SafaricomPLC retail shops across the country.

Besides Safaricom shops countrywide, the Huawei Y6 Prime 2019 is also discounted on Masoko, although it has a slightly steeper price on the online retailer going for Kshs 12,999. But for the extra few hundreds, you score a dual-SIM variant.

The Y6 Prime 2019 ships with a 6.1-inch HD+ screen, 2GB RAM and 32GB storage attached to a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. The back camera has a single 13MP lens and the front gets an 8MP unit for selfies.

Keeping it alive is a 3020mAh battery unit that is charged via a microUSB, meaning the 3.5mm audio jack is present. The fingerprint scanner is also present and for the software, there’s Android 9 Pie out of the box.
