The Vivo Y15 has made a low-key entry into the Kenyan smartphone market. Vivo Kenya opted for social media as the platform to unveil the Y15 in the country.
Available “in shops near you” priced at Kshs 21,999, the Y15 becomes the first from the number 5 smartphone vendor in the world to sell in the country officially. It has a typical selling point for popular devices sold around here – a huge 5000mAh battery.
It has taken Vivo quite some time to enter the local market. We first heard about their plans in late 2017, but it’s better to be late than never at all. So, yea, this is the moment Vivo fans in Kenya have been waiting.
For now, the Y15 doesn’t have company around here. Still, we expect either or both the Vivo Y12 and Vivo Y17 to come in at some point. Also, the Y15 is only available in select shops in Nairobi as shared below by Vivo Kenya.

There’s also another one called Realtime on Luthuli Avenue where you can find the Y15.

There is still no mention of its online availability, at least for now. Vivo says the first 300 people to buy the Vivo Y15 will get a chance to win cashback, half-price offer for a second device purchased and gift hampers.
