Xiaomi is one of the popular names in China, India and a few other countries where the company sells a myriad of devices that are not just limited to smartphones.
In Kenya, for instance, most of what Xiaomi has in stock revolves around smartphones, but the company has a plethora of other devices it sells, among them Smart TVs and 360-degree cameras, just to name but a few.

As I write this, Xiaomi Kenya has revealed that both the Smart TV and 360-degree camera are coming to the local market very soon. The two will further be accompanied by the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, a phone that is sold in India as the Redmi K20 Pro.
This is what Xiaomi Kenya (via Twitter) had to say about the availability of the Mi Sphere 360-degree camera in the country:
You [have] been asking this for quite some time now. Good news, it will available as from next week at our Mi Home (The Hub, Karen).
You can check out more details about specs and features of the Mi Sphere Camera on this page. As far as pricing is concerned, we should find out when the device goes on sale next week.
As for the smart TV, Xiaomi Kenya says the model that is coming here is the Mi TV 4X Pro with 55 inches of display real estate.

For the specs and features the Mi TV 4X Pro tags along, check out this page. The TV currently costs INR 39,999 in India, which is a couple of thousands shy of Kshs 60,000 when converted to local currency.
Sure, you guessed it! I was saving the best for last – the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro. This is one of the most-talked-about smartphones right now. Launched as the Redmi K20 Pro in India, the handset has already arrived in Europe branded as the Mi 9T Pro and apparently, it’s headed to the Kenyan market soon.
Here is what Xiaomi Kenya says (via Twitter) about the availability of Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro in the country:
We know you’re ready to play games without draining your battery! Because the #Mi9TPro‘s massive battery will guarantee you’re ready to go. Coming soon at Mi Home (Karen, Hub) & Mi Store (Giwa House, MOI Avenue).
Now “coming soon” can mean anything here, be it a few days, weeks or even more than a month, so we can’t give you any dates so far.
For a rundown of the Mi 9T Pro specs, check out this page. For some highlights, the Mi 9T Pro comes with a 6.39-inch 1080p AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 855 processor, 6/8GB RAM, 64/128/256GB storage, a tri-lens 48MP + 8MP + 13MP main camera, a 20MP pop-up selfie camera, a 4000mAh battery, and has Android 9 Pie pre-installed.
We saw the Redmi K20 Pro link up with the Mi MIX 3 5G and Mi 9 in testing Android 10. Given the K20 Pro and Mi 9T Pro are one and the same device, the update to Android 10 should be released to both variants at about the same time, most probably somewhere in Q4 2019.
We don’t know the expected Kenyan price of the Mi 9T Pro, but with the coming soon tag, we should find out not long after today. We will keep an eye on these developments are let you know what to expect when these gadgets arrive in the country.
